In this workshop you will immerse yourself in the Internal Family
Systems Therapy (IFS) model of psychotherapy. Individual and family
therapist Simon d'Orsogna will offer an Introductory IFS weekend
workshop ahead of the further intermediate workshops and upcoming
Level 1 & 2 Trainings in later 2019-20. A number of assistants will be
on hand to support the small group learning in a similar learning
model to the formal Level 1-2 CSL trainings. This ensures high
contact, safety and quality as these experienced IFS therapists have
variously completed both Level 1 & Level 2 trainings.Participants in
the Introductory Workshop will learn the basics of the IFS approach
from the ground up. Suitable to professionals (therapists,
psychologists, counsellors, body workers, certified coaches,
expressive arts therapists, and social workers) as well as those
interested in self-development. The Enriching 2 day workshop will be a
natural next step to those who have completed the Introductory
workshop (see here for upcoming Enriching workshops), or are familiar
with the Internal Family Systems model of psychotherapy. The focus of
formal CSL Trainings for IFS Level 1 & 2 is going deeper again into
the IFS skills and techniques, and enhancing personal and professional
capacity. Discounted coupon tickets are available for those taking
both the Introductory and the Enriching workshops in the same 6 month
period - applies to second workshop fee. Please email the organiser
Simon for discount code. This two day Introductory Workshop is an
opportunity for an overview presentation, live demonstrations,
experiential learning by doing, and provides a safe space to develop a
comfortable facility with the powerful attitudes and techniques that
make IFS so effective. The sessions here provide deeper learning and
an opportunity to work in small groups with maximum in-the-seat
learning in a supportive atmosphere. Testimonials from attendees of
Simon's recent Introductory IFS workshops "Great learning, profound
and well-organized.... a great introduction, but as well good for the
well prepared.Very interesting and more emotionally charged than many
trainings. It clarified my own confusion / incongruence about how to
apply various theories to a more holistic approach. Great learning
experience, fun and a good opportunity to learn about all the
different parts that show up in our lives. You'd love it.An amazing
introduction to IFS with demo's and practice sessions on both days. A
really great training in psychotherapy, and being offered locally - a
bonus!Enlightening! Great to have the support of experienced others to
implement theory into practice, warmly so!Life changing in the way I
work with clients.Fantastic and full of great people. Actually very
energizing instead of draining which can often happen even in
interesting workshops”Who is this for?Participation is for
therapists and counsellors, mental health clinicians, certified
coaches, expressive arts therapists or students in accredited graduate
training programs. Practitioners working experientially and
wholistically will find this approach broadens and makes more acute
their existing work through using the steps of the IFS 'parts' model,
especially suitable for working with trauma, obsessions and
intergenerational burdens. Note - these workshops qualify for
equivalent hours of specialised training that may be counted towards
Continuing Professional Development according to requirements set down
by your accrediting body. Registered health professionals have a
responsibility to ensure that they continue to maintain, enhance and
extend their knowledge and skills throughout their working lives.
