James currently leads the digital team at Jeanswest and is responsible
for the trade across all online channels, including marketplaces such
as the Iconic, eBay, Amazon & Catch. With over 10 years eCommerce
experience, James has previously worked for national and international
brands such as UNIQLO, Coles and The Good Guys in a number of
different eCommerce and digital roles.

Mark Gray, Senior Partnership Manager and Head of Cross Border Trade
at TheMarket.nz, is an expert in eCommerce, Cross Board Trade and
Online Marketplaces. Mark helped launch the Catch.com.au marketplace
and has led teams in Digital Marketing services across Australia/New
Zealand/Europe/USA/ and Asia Pacific
In his current role, Mark is responsible for managing partnerships and
cross border sellers for New Zealand's newest Marketplace,
TheMarket.nz Helping brands and retailers overcome the challenges of
cross border expansion, merchandising, ICT partner relationships and
business acquisition is where Mark spends most of his time
Mark is passionate about eCommerce and helping retailers/manufacturers
sell their products online. He has presented at over sixty-five
industry events globally and has been an occasional guest on Sky News
and The Switzer Report. Mark has also written for the Sunday Morning
Herald, BWT, SmartCompany and many various and industry publications
helping to educate vendors about online commerce.
PAUL SONNEVELD

Managing Director
Paul started his career as a management consultant with BCG
advertising consumer goods clients in Australia, UK and the USE before
returning to Australia in 2009 to join the Wesfarmers' team following
the Coles acquisition. Whilst at Coles, Paul was responsible for
transforming a number of underperforming business units including
Bakery, General Merchandise, Health & Beauty and First Choice Liquor.
More recently he was the Executive General Manager at Catch Group.
Paul's current role as Managing Director at MerchantSpring, an
eCommerce service business that helps brands identify and take
advantage of the new opportunities created by the arrival of Amazon
and other marketplaces.
He holds an MBA with Distinction in INSEAD .
