CONVENERS
SARAH HOUSEMAN is a PhD candidate in Politics and Philosophy
investigating the culture of NGOs working within non-hierarchical
structures. Her methodology is intentionally collaborative and
holistic, using drawing and the imagery from the tarot to support
iterative meaning making with her case study organisations. She is
energised by the ways creative research methodologies engage
participants and the academic community.
AIDAN CRANEY is a PhD Candidate in Anthropology researching youth
livelihoods and development issues in Fiji and Solomon Islands.
Following recent positive experiences with creative methodologies in
his own work he is keen to expand his knowledge of their use.
CAITLIN FINLAYSON is a PhD Candidate at the Institute for Human
Security and Social Change. Her current project is an action research
collaboration with an international NGO exploring how development
practice is changing. She is interested in creative methodologies as a
means to challenge her ideas about research, the researcher and
knowledge production.
