Docklands History Group: The Bridge
On 15 October 1970, a span of the West Gate BRIDGE COLLAPSED DURING
CONSTRUCTION. It was one of the worst industrial accidents in
Victoria’s HISTORY. There were more than 60 men on the site that day
and 35 men were killed. Join Enza Gandolfo, the author of the recently
published novel, The BRIDGE, as she shares her research and the
process of turning HISTORY INTO FICTION.
