HOSTED BY:
HOSTED BY: BLUESCOPE STEEL HASTINGS
Maintenance planning & scheduling is crucial for planning work flow,
ensuring parts are available when needed and our resources are best
utilized. Lower overall maintenance costs with materials & parts
purchasing well ahead, efficient use of available labour and
contractors. Then there are the safety benefits of doing more of the
work in a controlled / planned way and being less reactive.
However how visual is the process ? Making things visual can inform,
make more aware, communicate and also more including and engaging.
Many companies use visual tools for planning and scheduling like
Vizya, Prometheus, the SAP or Maximo Visual Planner or the MEX
Scheduler. Other companies are also using various other tools, charts
and communication means to make their Maintenance Planning and
Scheduling more visual and out of the computer systems.
This workshop will have BlueScope Steel share on how they make their
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling more visual to the benefit of
better communication, engagement and to remove waste. As a workshop it
also provides an opportunity for all those involved in Maintenance
planning and scheduling to meet up with peers in other companies and
industries to compare notes and share ideas. Come share with and
learn from others who have also interest in this topic.
Some of the topics to be discussed on the day may include:
* Visual Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
* Various computer systems to support
* Means to make more visual outside of the computer

ABOUT SIRF RT COMMON INTEREST WORK GROUPS
All SIRF Rt events are designed to provide a safe environment for open
discussion with peers on the topic of interest they are working on, in
and around. There will be no vendor companies in attendance at this
meeting. SIRF Rt Common Interest Work Groups (CWIG’s) provide the
best forum for peer-to-peer learning and sharing of knowledge and
expertise. Participants are asked to bring something for ‘show and
tell’ about the topic of the day as it applies at their organisation
– a mini presentation (2 slides maximum), something that you can
present in 5min maximum. It could comprise a few photos, a brief
descriptions of the current efforts/learnings, a couple of charts or

knowledge or expertise. After each company shares the deeper
