Health - School Holiday Workshop
This interactive and creative workshop is open to students aged 14 - 19 years and is held during the winter school holidays. It may help you decide on your elective subjects or post school options.
Working in the health industry is dynamic and rewarding. If you love the idea of working with people and help make positive changes to their lives then why not attend this workshop to explore the range of careers that exist out there?
In this session we will introduce you to the basic concepts of health and demonstrate basic life support techniques and understand what to do in an emergency situation. We will explore the range of skills required for careers in pathology, allied health and dental. From the workshop you will walk away with a taste of what you can expect in the health industry to give you a picture on a range of different career paths you can consider.
Give up a few hours and you might find an undiscovered career!
What to bring: Comfortable clothes, notepad, water and a positive attitude! A light lunch will be provided.
Typical schedule:
9:30am – 9:45am: Registration in building D, foyer at our Frankston campus (Fletcher Road). Students will be greeted before being taken to their classroom.
10:00am: Workshop commences
12:00noon: Break for lunch
12:30pm: Workshop recommences
3:30pm: Workshop ends and students are taken back to building D, where they are dismissed.
