YOUR TRAINER FOR THIS WORKSHOP IS MEIRIAN LOVELACE-TOZER
FROM RESEARCH COMPUTING SERVICES._THIS MEETUP IS BEING HELD ON WED
10TH JUNE 4-6PM._
ABOUT THIS EVENT:
This is your opportunity to ask your burning documentation questions,
learn some tips and tricks, and see some exemplary documents ...and
while you're here, get to know the community that is actively using
LATEX TO DOCUMENT THEIR RESEARCH!
PLEASE NOTE THAT ATTENDEES ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE SOME
FAMILIARITY/EXPERIENCE WITH LATEX. IF YOU ARE NEW TO LATEX, CONSIDER
ATTENDING A LATEX BEGINNERS' WORKSHOP. THERE IS A BEGINNERS' WORKSHOP
RUNNING ON THE SAME DAY AS THIS MEET-UP, STARTING AT 10AM.
PLEASE BRING WITH YOU:
- a laptop with internet access and a web browser;
- a laptop charge
- an Overleaf account --- if you do not already have an account, you
can create one for free here: www.overleaf.com
Know of a great package for typesetting documents? Or, do you have a
document which you're willing to share? We would love to showcase it
at the meet-up! If you are interested in showcasing something, please
send Meirian (mlovelace (at) unimelb.edu.AU) a quick email explaining
what you would like to present. There is no need to prepare anything
formal, having a running example is more than enough (even if it is
not your own creation)!
Don’t feel like presenting anything? Don’t worry, just come along
and immerse yourself in the knowledge that your peers have to share
while enjoying some light snacks and beverages together.
Please contact mlovelace (at) unimelb.edu.au if you have any
questions, or if you would like to volunteer as a leader!
