The Royal CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL NURSING AND ALLIED HEALTH EDUCATION
OUTREACH PROGRAM IS EXCITED TO FACILITATE THIS INFORMATIVE AND TOPICAL
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY. The course is designed for registered
nurses, allied health professionals, paramedics and medical
professionals who have an interest in broadening their knowledge in
the field of paediatrics. The course will focus on the following
topics: * Mental Health Disorders and management in young people *
Identifying non accidental injury in children * Assessment and
management of the adolescent patient * Intimate partner (Family
Violence) where children are involved * Responding to violence and
aggression in paediatric populations * Compassion Fatigue - looking
after ourselves Presentations will be delivered by RCH topic experts.
