FIRST SHOW SOLD OUTSECOND SHOW ANNOUNCED + SUPPORTS FOSSEY, EMELYNE Fresh off the stage at Meredith Music Festival, Close Counters are bringing their full live show back to Melbourne/Naarrm at The Night Cat.  CLOSE COUNTERS:  Emerging from the depths of Tasmania are Allan McConnell and Finn Rees who are Close Counters. Since forming in 2013, the duo have crafted an electrifying fusion of electronic, house and soul with a healthy dose of dense synths and funky basslines.  After honing in on their signature sound as well as embarking on an intensive nine-month residency in Europe, the duo released their first full-length project in 2018 called SOULACOASTA, a 12-track whirlwind ride through re-sampled soul and deep groove. 2019 saw the release of their latest EP REFRACTIONS developing further into their infectious dance style with local collaborations such as Laneous, Paul Bender, Elle Shimada and Wallace.  Following their explosive appearance at Meredith, Close Counters are sure to bring the heat for their first live show of 2020.  Prep yourself for some cosmic deep house, sassy disco sizzlers and polyrhythmic clicks of brokenbeat as she catches you off guard with a wink and a smile.
