The Port Phillip Mussel and Jazz Festival is returns in 2020 with a
two-day street party and mollusc feast. Spend the day in the sun with
friends and family, feasting, dancing and celebrating seafood, all to
the sounds of Melbourne’s hottest jazz. Think sangria and piping hot
mussel paella, wok cooked drunken mussels and craft beer, mussels
cooked in a light buttermilk batter served with crispy cos lettuce and
chimichuri, and artisanal ice cream and fun for the kids. We have some
of Melbourne’s top chefs and restaurants taking part each year, as
well as the South Melbourne Market’s own restaurants Bambu, Claypots
Evening Star, Paco y Lola, Köy and Simply Spanish. There will also be
fun for the kids including face painting and stilt walkers.
