Each semester, students from across the University of Melbourne learn
to perform traditional and popular MUSIC FROM AROUND THE WORLD. This
evening, Mr Chris Lesser directs the African MUSIC AND DANCE ENSEMBLE
IN A PROGRAM OF TRADITIONAL MUSIC FROM WEST AFRICA. Dr Joseph Jordania
and Dr Nino Tsitsishvili then lead a choir of over 200 students in
singing traditional and contemporary songs from China, Africa, Europe
and the Americas. Finally, Dr Zheng-Ting Wang directs the Chinese
MUSIC ENSEMBLE, a traditional silk and bamboo group._We strongly
