Your trainer for this workshop is Jon Garber from Research Platform Services.
This workshop is being held on Wednesday 18th September from 4-8pm.
About this Event:
"Pandas is a powerful Python library that allow users to manipulate and analyse their spreadsheet data through the use of dataframes. Unfortunately, the first time you try to use it, it can be confusing, and much of the functionality and usefulness can be hidden from a beginner to the library.
This is a one evening workshop/meetup that will cover the basics of using pandas, We will teach you how to upload, create, and manipulate pandas dataframes, and perform some data cleaning, filtering, and analysis with a few Pandas methods. We will end the day with a short, music themed, research project!
This workshop would be most appropriate for those who have attended at least one of our beginner's workshop, or at least have some understanding of how to use loops, functions and methods in Python.
**Requirements** Attendees should bring a laptop (with administrative privileges!) and charger, with Python, Jupyter notebooks and the Pandas package pre-installed. You can find instructions for how to do this in this guide:
