After two booked out concerts of Sephardic music last year, members of SARAY Iluminado return to the beautiful Primrose Potter Salon for an intimate evening of Sevdah, the haunting song from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Led by the Bosnian-Australian artist Nela Trifkovic and featuring multi-instrumentalists Ernie Gruner, Irine Vela, Dan Witton and Kelly Dowall, this is a show about the complex beauty of Bosnian and Herzegovinian culture, riddled with songs and story telling. For one hour, these five musicians will take you on a sound-road-trip from the cosmpolitan Sarajevo, to the Mediterranean, scorching Mostar and the green forests around the Drina river, that inspired Ivo Andric's Nobel Prize winning book "The Bridge on the Drina."
Book early, most previous shows were booked out!
