This course is accredited with Osteopathy Australia (7 hours),
Myotherapy Association Australia (7 points) and ESSA (8 ESSA points).
AHPRA registered practitioners (osteopaths, physiotherapists and
chiropractors will be able to claim 7 hours).
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
* Develop an understanding of the various roles an Allied Health
Practitioner can have within an Occupational (Work) Health & Safety
setting.
* Describe key statements of relevant Workplace Health and Safety
Legislation in Australia.
* Describe and understand the principles of Risk Management and
Hierarchy of Risk Control.
* Step by step process of setting up a worker at their workstation.
* Apply knowledge and skills to undertake a basic office ergonomic
risk assessment.
* Have the knowledge and skills to problem solve common workplace
individual and office workplace issues.
* Review and understand the importance of communication i.e. consent,
verbal and written communication within the Occupational (Work) Health
and Safety setting.
* Learn about the references available to continue further
professional learning and development within the Occupational (Work)
Health and Safety setting.

Heath Williams, Osteopath
Has 15 years clinical experience and 9 years post graduate teaching
experience. This experience consists of Australian and international
experience. He has been working in the field of OHS/WHS since 2006. He
currently co - owns Corporate Work Health Australia Pty Ltd which
consults in the OHS/WHS field. Currently owns a private osteopathy
practice located in Melbourne CBD and teaches at Victoria University.
Wade Brennan, Physiotherapist
Has 15 years clinical experience. This experience consists of
Australian and international experience. He has been working in the
field of OHS/WHS since 2006. He currently co-owns Corporate Work
Health Australia Pty Ltd which consults in the OHS/WHS field.
Currently owns a large multi-disciplinary private Physiotherapy
practice that is located in the Gold Coast, QLD.

Registrants who cancel > 30 days from the course can receive a refund.
Registrants can reschedule to the same course at a different
date/location when > 2 weeks notice is provided.
