Introduction to Literature Reviews – 30minsThis session will focus on different types of reviews and how to get started writing one. It will cover: *          Different reviews for different purposes *          The structure of a literature review *          Reading, notetaking and writing tips Introduction to Critical Appraisal – 1hr with 15-30mins discussion of a paper to be read as homework before the session. This session will introduce the concept of critical appraisal, an essential skill for health professionals. You will learn about: *          The hierarchy of evidence *          Types of research methodologies best suited to answer your question *          Types of statistical information used in quantitative studies *          Tools available to help you critique studies Please note: if you book but can't attend, please let us know.
