Teachers from Respectful Relationships schools are invited to attend the Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships training. This workshop will be delivered by trained teachers from RR Lead Schools. Attendees at the workshops can expect to gain:
- Overview of evidence-base informing the approach used in the RRRR teaching and learning materials
- Overview of how an explicit classroom education program fits within and advances a whole school approach to building resilience and fostering respectful relationships
- Understanding of the logic of change informing the content and methodology of the 8 key topic areas in the RRRR program
- Brief introduction into the ways in which the RRRR program aligns with and assists teachers to work towards learning outcomes described in the Victorian Curriculum (including Personal and Social Capabilities and Health/PE)
- Sampling of key learning activities to familiarise teachers with the pedagogical features of the learning activities
- Guidance about how to tailor the program to meet the needs of students/school
- Coaching on use of the collaborative learning strategies used throughout the program, including use of games, group tasks, and role-play
PLEASE BRING ALONG WITH YOU A COPY OF THE RRRR LEARNING MATERIALS MOST RELEVANT TO YOUR TEACHING OR PRACTICE (e.g., RRRR Year 9-10).
