The Meraki Project

The Meraki Project started as an idea and formed as a super-group, including members of the haBiBis ( Greek) and SARAY Iluminado (Sevdah from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sephardic Jewish music.) This is a project that celebrates the Balkan and East Mediterranean cultural intersections drawing on the music from this intricate region. 7 musicians lead the event shedding light on songs, stories and cultural customs observed among Greeks, Bosnians, Herzegovinians, Sephardic Jews, Turks and many more people from the region...On this occasion the Meraki super group will be joined by the Brimbank Multicultural Choir, Bosnian folk dancers from KUD DUKAT and the Greek dancers from Pegasus Academy.
