POTTERY CLASS - WHEEL THROWING (6 WEEK COURSE) Learn the fundamental techniques of throwing on the potters wheel, creating wheel-thrown pottery pieces to take home and develop your skills while exploring processes and materials The course is structured so that each week focuses on a different technique, but we also place a lot of emphasis on time for practice and experimenting with clay Our classes are designed for the beginner with no previous experience and intermediate level makers who would like to progress onto more complex shapes We begin by exploring functional pottery forms and work towards altering them to make cups, mugs, bowls and more Those with experience looking to grow and refine their skills will learn to make lidded vessels, sets and larger forms An introduction to glazing and surface decorating techniques is covered Classes are held in our friendly and supportive studio, with a maximum of 5 participants, our small group size ensures individual guidance The fee for the 6-week course (6 x 3 hours) includes clay, glazes and 3.5kg of firing All classes are for adult attendees ENROLMENT ?WHEN: 6 week COURSE STARTING SATURDAY 6 FEB TO 20 MAR (NO CLASS 13 MAR), 2.00-5.00PM WHERE: ART & DESIGN STUDIO, 2/14 Rafferty Road, Mandurah COST: $330 for 6 classes of 3 hours.
