Mason Ledger is excited to be hosting its CAREER PATHWAYS IN THE LAW
SEMINAR FOR LAW STUDENTS FROM 5:30pm to 7:15pm on Wednesday 16
September.The seminar will be presented by Chris Bates who will share
industry insights gained during his 12 years recruiting for some of
the worlds leading law firms.
The presentation will be held at Mason Ledgers offices, followed by
drinks and refreshments with our team.
The presentation will cover:
* How to secure a position in a competitive market.
* Navigating law firm application processes.
* The impacts of your career decisions, and the doors that may open
(and close) as a result.
* Law firm structures/KPIs.
* Life at the Bar, in-house and in government roles.
* Working interstate and overseas (once travel restrictions are
lifted!).
* Networking.

successful legal career.
This is a free event with capacity being limited to 20 law students.
We kindly request that students attending make a $5 donation to the
Minds Count Foundation a charity dedicated to promoting mental health
throughout the legal profession.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Chris is the chairman at Mason Ledger and leads the firms Recruitment
& On Demand Lawyers team.
He is a co-founder of The Piddington Society, a former Director of
Parkerville Children & Youth Care, KBE Legal Hub, The Vine House,
Interpeople and KBI, and was part of an international team involved in
the acquisition and farm-out of a Brazilian iron ore project.
In 2011, Chris was recognised in the 40Under40 at the age of 27 and
remains one of Western Australias youngest recipients of the award.
