R U Legal? - Young People and the Law. A training for youth workers.

An education session for YOUTH WORKERS THAT WILL COVER THE THE LEGAL PARAMETERS AROUND SEXTING, sex and consent and many other LEGAL AREAS. This R U Legal? workshop is an education session for youth workers, working with young people aged 10-18. It has been developed by Legal Aid WA to provide youth workers with information about the criminal justice system and the laws that affect young people. This workshop will cover the legal parameters around sexting, sex and consent and many other legal areas that impact on young people. The session is presented from the perspective of a criminal lawyer from Legal Aid and uses real-life examples to show legal consequences to young people. This workshop is hosted by the Youth Educating Peers (YEP) Project, under the Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia (YACWA).
