Registration for PERTH ICE ARENA FIGURE SKATING SESSION.Saturday June
6, 5:30pm-6:30pm
In accordance with Perth Ice Arena’s COVID-19 number restrictions,
only 20 people can register to enter the rink during this figure
skating session.
20 tickets available to Skaters, Parents/spectators or coaches. Any
person entering the rink must register here and must agree to the
below terms regarding social distancing and rink etiquette for figure
skaters.
1. I agree to adhere to the 1.5m social distancing guidelines.
2. I understand that skaters playing their program music have the
first right of way and I will use my initiative and skate safely when
using my right of way for this purpose. For example if a skater is
skating to their program music and move to an area of the ice where
another skater is already in a spin, it would be safer for the skater
completing their program to move around the skater already in a spin.
3. I understand that a skater in a lesson has the second right of way
and will use my initiative and use safe skating practices when using
my right of way for this purpose. For example: a highly skilled skater
is moving across the ice in a lesson with their coach but another
skater with basic level skills is in the corner that the skilled
skater is about to jump in - it would be safer for the skilled skater
to move their jump a few metres to either side of the less skilled
skater than to skate towards the less skilled skater and expect them
to have the skills to move for the advanced skater.
4. Less skilled skaters have the third right of way. It is safer for a
more advanced skater to manoeuvre safely around a skater who is still
developing their basic skating skills. A developing skater is learning
to build their speed and skills with confidence, please be kind and
understanding where you can and give each other safe distances to
practise skills in. We all start somewhere. Developing skaters often
look up to the more advanced skaters. Be a role model.
5. I understand that to play my own music, I must bring a device that
is capable of connecting via Bluetooth as well as my own pen. To play
my program music I will add my name to the music run sheet (using my
own pen) and will only play my music once it is my turn. When it is my
turn to play my music, I will connect my device to the Bluetooth
system. In order to keep music privileges fair to everyone using the
ice, I will only play my music a maximum of 4 times (if possible).
Once I have skated my program, I will disconnect my device from the
Bluetooth system so that the next skater can play their music.
6. I understand that skaters skating a program to music must wear a
high visibility vest. No vest, no program. If I skate my program I
will wear my own vest (available at Bunnings or Office works). I will
also give any skater in a vest, right of way.
7. If I am talking to my fellow skating friends, I will ensure that we
do not remain in the same position on the ice for more than 5 minutes.
I respect that other skaters will need to use all areas of the ice at
times and will attempt to keep moving and keep practising my own
skating without taking up the same area of the ice for too long.
I agree to all of the above terms regarding social distancing and
figure skater etiquette and understand that if I am seen to not adhere
to them, that I will no longer be eligible to register for any
organised figure skater sessions (such as this one) in the future.
