great way to engage young people with the history and heritage that is
all around them whilst at the same time providing them with a fun,
sociable and educational experience. The Junior Archaeologists’ Club
in Perth is doing a great job to bring archaeology to the young people
of the area”. Dr. Mike Heyworth, Director, Council of British
Archaeology. "I have had the pleasure of working with Sue Carter who
is an extremely passionate educator and trainer. Sue's knowledge and
dedication to Archaeology is exceptional and I cannot express enough
the value she can provide." Terri Billington - founder of TCB and #1
Coaches Coach. ”I love the fact that Sue has used her story and her
passion to be her business vehicle. This shapes her entire approach to
her task, and is evident to anyone who gets to hear her teach. She
goes out of her way for the people around her and is incredibly
respectful of the journey we are all on, which she wants to add value
to. Thank you, Sue, for being a true teacher”. Ross Gauldie,
Entrepreneur Coach. “I am so glad I signed Daric up and we’re now
in our third term! Sue’s classes have the perfect mix of theory and
hands on activities and there is plenty of room for extension if
required so therefore suitable for a range of ages and abilities. Not
only is my son learning a lot of things he wouldn’t have the
opportunity to learn at school, but I am enjoying the classes too!”
- Caryn Rance, parent. "One of the hardest aspects of homeschooling is
finding lessons and educators that are both "value for money" and
"educational but fun". With STC Archaeology we have the complete
package, Sue is an outstanding educator and her lessons are so
informative with exactly the precise balance of hands on
learning/discussion to keep the children engaged. Highly recommended."
- Michelle Compton, parent. "After a full month of classes both my son
and daughter are having a blast undertaking these Archaeology classes.
Sue is not only very informative but understanding to the various ages
of the kids present. I believe she manages to split the classes well
between the theory and practical aspects of her classes. All up Sue is
a great educator and is a benefit to my kids’ education." Denise
Cole, parent. "Sue really knows her subject and her passion and
archaeology are contagious. School children of all ages would love
this" J eanne Robinson, teacher. Absolutely thrilled with the
archaeology classes they cover various different aspects of the
curriculum which is fantastic but also the kids are so engaged and
thoroughly involved which shows the skill of Sue as an
educator...cannot recommend these classes highly enough!!" Linda
Demarco, parent. “We have done lessons this term with Sue and it is
absolutely fantastic. My son (who hasn’t always enjoyed history) is
now actively engaged and loves it. Is even asking for more history in
our homeschool learning. Sue brings it to life and does a great
balance between theory and hands on activities. Any one sitting on the
fence give it a go. Great value for money!!!” Donna Black, parent.
“We have been doing Archaeology classes with Sue for over a year now
and my 17yo son (ASD, GAD, ADHD, Dysgraphia) absolutely loves them. In
fact it’s the only class in 4 years of homeschooling that he has
truly engaged in & looks forward to going to. Sue’s classes are a
great balance of a printed worksheet, talking about the information
and then a hands-on activity. (There is minimal writing but this can
be extended) Her tuition covers all aspects of the curriculum,
social/life skills and are great fun too. Sue is also highly receptive
to any special needs/requirements. Would definitely recommend these
classes.” Michelle McIntosh, parent. “We recently had Sue Carter
at the library to talk about Archaeology of the Somme. Sue is
professional with real-world experience in her field. The talk
exceeded my expectations and feedback from those who attended was
whole-heartedly positive. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her for
another talk in the future.” Claire, Community Engagement Officer,
City of Armadale Libraries, Western Australia. ”If you haven't
attended one of Sue Carter's sessions before, I can't recommend highly
enough that you do. They are fabulous! A tear jerking, insightful and
eye-opening look into the Somme battlefield. Sue even brings along
archaeological finds from the battlefield and has some fabulous tales
to tell of her experiences. A MUST attend in my book!’ Rosemary
Ritorto, Adult Services Coordinator, City of Swan Libraries.
