DEMENTIA EDUCATION & TRAINING FOR CARERS IS COORDINATED BY THE
COMMONWEALTH RESPITE & CARELINK CENTRE METRO NORTH AND SUPPORTS PEOPLE
WHO ARE CARING FOR THEIR FAMILY MEMBER OR FRIEND WITH DEMENTIA.
THE GROUP MEET ON A MONTHLY BASIS (ALTERNATING MONDAY AND THURSDAY)
AND HEAR GUEST SPEAKERS TALK ABOUT A RANGE OF DIFFERENT TOPICS THAT
AIM TO ASSIST THE CARER IN THEIR ROLE.

How to make a dementia friendly home
Nicole De Faria, an Occupational Therapist from the Independent Living
Centre of WA will be providing information on how to make your home
DEMENTIA FRIENDLY. Nicole will have a range of assistive equipment on
display and will be able to answer questions on the day.

Residential Facilities
Naomi Scott from Rosewood Care Group will be providing a presentation
on Residential Care. Naomi will discuss the process of going into
residential care, costs involved and approvals.
The presentations will be followed by a light lunch. If you require
