You’ll need at least a basic grasp of IT (drag and drop, saving
files, etc) to benefit from this course. If you would like 1-1 help
following the course, you are welcome to book in an individual session
with Liz (who is an Authorised Squarespace Trainer).
A website is one of the best ways for people to find out about your
business; your brand, what services or products you offer, how to
contact you, how to give you money etc.
There are some great (and not so great) template-based build-your-own
programs available, and after a LOT of research, we think that
Squarespace is the best option for most new businesses. This is
because Squarespace is:
Super easy to use
A high-quality platform that will serve you well for years to come
Has everything built-in, such as SEO coding, hosting and eCommerce
Is a low cost option, and incredible value for the quality that it
delivers
Our website courses are a great way to arm yourself with the tools
that you will need to try it yourself. Plus, you’ll save HOURS of
trial-and-error and trawling through YouTube. Trust us, your hair and
nerves with thank you!
In this workshop, we’ll walk you through step-by-step how it all
works, how to personalise your site and update it whenever you like.
You may even have your basic page layout completed by the time you
leave! We’ll cover:
- Choosing the right template for you
- How to add and delete pages
- How to easily edit pages and move things around
- Adding new blocks (such as images, forms, videos and links)
- Connecting up social media
- Connecting up your domain name
This session will move quite quickly to cover as much ground as
possible during the time, but you’ll be given a handout to take home
with you! If you’re not confident on computers, you may struggle
with this session, but you’re welcome to still attend.
This workshop will be presented by Liz Haselgrove who is an Authorised
Trainer for Squarespace, after having built Squarespace websites for
nearly a decade.
For the benefit of the entire group, latecomers will no longer be
admitted.
