Students will be introduced to the process of sculpting as a means of
extending their drawing skills to new art disciplines. Students
complete 2 or 3 unique projects inspired by classical and modern
artists. Potential projects include: - Giacometti Armatures: wire
wrapped with plaster bandages and painted with faux finish - Relief
Sculpture: design and build a clay mold to make a plaster cast
finished with acrylic paint wash. - Triskele Spheres with Zentangle
patterns and watercolour All sculptures are built from scratch using
the same techniques and methodology as professional artists.
