We're here to add a bit of magic to your summer ?Itinerary: 7:00pm-8:00pm - Carpooling to the Hesje Observatory located at Miquelon Lake 8:00pm-10:00pm - Forest immersion, learning iNaturalist, forest tours exploring the park 10:00pm-2:00am - We’ll meet at the Hesje observatory where we'll meet RASC volunteers and enjoy some light painting while counting the shooting stars ⛈ The event will be postponed to August 23rd in the event of poor weather. ? Who we are: Touch Grass Club is a youth climate-action collective, focussed on increasing environmental literacy and bridging urban dwellers' connection to nature. The goal of this event is to connect attendees with local citizen science and conservation organizations, providing an evening of experiential-learning on interpreting the land and sky. ☕️ Provided: Warm drinks, Light Painting/long exposure light photography fun, access to Hesje Observatory, walks led through the forest, nets to catch bugs. ? Must bring: Warm clothes, bugspray, campfire treats and cooking utensils, picnic chairs and blankets. Touch Grass Club will coordinate carpooling attendees to and from the area through collecting RSVP forms. We ask those attending to park at the main visitor parking at Miquelon Lake.
