Tuesdays at Upper West Side @ 131 W 72nd Str/ Ripley Grier STUDIOS Art teacher  Lena Kuznetsov two CLASSES STARTING at 4:00  and 5:00pm. Winter Semester is starting January 7th- March 25th. CLASSES ARE OPEN FOR CHILDREN FROM 6 YO TO 13YO. We speak Russian and English in class. I you have a 5 yo, please come for a trial class first! All the art materials are included. Will study some art history prior to any assignment. This year will be more focused on Modern Art from 1880s to 2000s. Will go through many big names including Van Gogh, Monet, Picasso, Matisse, Chagall, Magritte, Dali, Kandinski, Modigliani etc. Classic Art/ basic DRAWING AND PAINTING TECHNIQUES WILL BE PRESENT TOO. We'll add some different techniques for the fall, including watercolor and oil PAINTING, pastel and charcoal, ink DRAWING, printing, clay etc. Will also study perspective, color balance, shading, and contrast.  Programs and CLASSES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE, depending on children's progress and group abilities. ***** We help children gain confidence through art, and find trust in their artistic abilities. We want them to become familiar with different media and techniques and feel the freedom of creativity.  Our art CLASSES CONSIST OF A VAST DIVERSITY OF STYLES, techniques, media, and ideas.
