Brock House Big Band

Kitsilano Showboat is delighted to welcome back the Brock House Big Band, a 19 piece jazz band that was formed over 30 years ago to provide an outlet for retirees looking to play music during the daytime. Members range from ex-professional or semi-professional musicians and music teachers to those whose daily jobs did not involve music. Their repertoire includes swing music from the 1930s and 1940s plus some more modern arrangements. In normal years, the band performs about sixteen times a year, delivering big band music to community centres, hospitals and seniors residences.

Kitsilano Showboat offers five nights of free entertainment every week this summer, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from June 18 - August 17, 2025. Showtime 7:00 pm. Something different every evening. Always the most beautiful view in the world.
