Rob Lutes's masterful fingerstyle guitar work and soulful voice bring an unmistakable intensity to his live performances. Originally from New Brunswick, the long-time Montreal resident was named 2018 Canadian Folk Music Awards Contemporary Singer of the Year for his work on Walk in the Dark, an album that also earned him Maple Blues Award nominations as Male Vocalist and Acoustic Act of the Year and a GAMIQ nomination for Folk Album of the Year. Since the release of his first album Gravity in 2000, the Kerrville songwriting winner has steadily built a collection of exquisite songs that inhabit the intersection of blues, folk, Americana, and the contemporary singer-songwriter genre.
His intimate solo show features his impressive guitar work and award-winning songwriting, while he shares the stories behind the songs, along with some tales from music history and his life.
