The Mentally Healthy Workplace aims to equip managers, human resource professionals, health and safety coordinators and other employee wellness champions with the necessary tools to promote workplace wellness. Mental health issues account for about one third of all disability claims in Canadian workplaces, and 70% of the total costs. In addition to the impact of absenteeism, many organizations are experiencing diminished productivity and other effects of “presenteeism”—employees being physically present at work but functioning below their capacity due to mental distress. Employers have a duty to make reasonable accommodations for health conditions whether physical or mental in nature but offering support and implementing accommodations can be complex when it comes to mental health concerns. This three hour seminar is open to anyone interested in learning more about workplace wellness. FREDERICTON INN | MARTELLO ROOM 400 MAIN STREET | SAINT JOHN, NB REGISTRATION DEADLINE: FRIDAY, APRIL 3 AT 5:00 P.M. (EARLIER IF ALL 30 SEATS FILL) REGISTRATION FEE: $139.00 PER PERSON (HST APPLICABLE) CANCELLATION POLICY: By proceeding with registration, you are indicating your acknowledgement and agreement to the Cancellation Policy outlined below and understand that no exceptions to the policy will be made for any reason. * Notice given 10+ days prior to course – Full refund * Notice given 7- 9 days prior to course – 50% refund * Notice given less than 7 days prior to course start date/no advance notice given – NO REFUND No exceptions are made to our cancellation policy for any reason. If you opt to cancel your seat the cancellation policy will be enforced as described, and should you choose to enrol in a future training session no credit or discount will apply to the registration rate for that session. In the unlikely event that the minimum required number of participants is not reached, the session will be postponed. You will be notified via email at least one week prior to the intended course start date, at which time you may choose to receive a refund or to apply the registration fee to a future course. A NOTE ABOUT INCLEMENT WEATHER: As this session takes place during the winter months, we are conscious of the possibility that inclement weather may necessitate cancelling the session. Please know that we will be keeping a close eye on the forecast in the days leading up to the session, and if the decision is made to cancel we will will notify participants by email at least 48 hours beforehand. It is extremely rare that we cancel sessions, but if stormy weather prevents participants from being able to get to the venue safely rest assured we will be happy to waive our regular cancellation policy and either issue you a full refund or roll your registration over to another training session.
