The Mentally Healthy Workplace aims to equip managers, human resource
professionals, health and safety coordinators and other employee
wellness champions with the necessary tools to promote workplace
wellness. Mental health issues account for about one third of all
disability claims in Canadian workplaces, and 70% of the total costs.
In addition to the impact of absenteeism, many organizations are
experiencing diminished productivity and other effects of
“presenteeism”—employees being physically present at work but
functioning below their capacity due to mental distress. Employers
have a duty to make reasonable accommodations for health conditions
whether physical or mental in nature but offering support and
implementing accommodations can be complex when it comes to mental
health concerns.

CANCELLATION POLICY: By proceeding with registration, you are
indicating your acknowledgement and agreement to the Cancellation
Policy outlined below and understand that no exceptions to the policy
will be made for any reason.
* Notice given 10+ days prior to course – Full refund
* Notice given 7- 9 days prior to course – 50% refund
* Notice given less than 7 days prior to course start date/no advance
notice given – NO REFUND
No exceptions are made to our cancellation policy for any reason. If
you opt to cancel your seat the cancellation policy will be enforced
as described, and should you choose to enrol in a future training
session no credit or discount will apply to the registration rate for
that session. In the unlikely event that the minimum required number
of participants is not reached, the session will be postponed. You
will be notified via email at least one week prior to the intended
course start date, at which time you may choose to receive a refund or
to apply the registration fee to a future course.
A NOTE ABOUT INCLEMENT WEATHER: As this session takes place during the
winter months, we are conscious of the possibility that inclement
weather may necessitate cancelling the session. Please know that we
will be keeping a close eye on the forecast in the days leading up to
the session, and if the decision is made to cancel we will will notify
participants by email at least 48 hours beforehand. It is extremely
rare that we cancel sessions, but if stormy weather prevents
participants from being able to get to the venue safely rest assured
we will be happy to waive our regular cancellation policy and either
issue you a full refund or roll your registration over to another
