Spadina House presents their annual 1920s summer garden party with live bands, dance workshops, and more!

Always an excellent and fun event.

Bands include Ben Harvey & His Ornamentals, and Shraddha Pai and the Prismaticks. Two excellent engaging bands for Swing & 1920s dancing.

Swing Toronto will provide three short dance workshops in Jazz Age partner dances - these dances are fun, easy-to-learn, and were super popular in the 1920s and Jazz Age when "everyone danced."

Absolute beginners are welcome, and there is no need to bring your own dance partners.

1.) 1920s Partner Charleston

2.) Traveling Jazz Age partner dances, the most super popular dancing of the 1920s, that "everyone" did. (We will do some One Step, Peabody, and 1920s vernacular Fox Trot. The fundamental step is just walking.)
