REALTORS® Got Talent- A Night of Talent & Taste

REALTORS® Got Talent- A Night of Talent & Taste is a 19+ event in Newmarket and a classy combination of food and entertainment. Kick off the evening with us at our cocktail social and browse our Marketplace of home made goods for purchase before the show. When the show starts, kick back for a dinner menu of tastings from local restaurants and enjoy an evening of live performances on stage. Dancing to follow! All of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Neil Brochu, a local 11 year old boy battling Batten Disease. 

About Neil Brochu

This year Neil will be the Recipient for REALTORS® Got Talent. All of the proceeds from this event will be directly donated to the Brochu family.

Batten disease is exceptionally rare and affects approximately 1 in 200,000. There are currently 12 children in Canada that have this disease. Neil Brochu at 11 years old, is one of these children.

A new enzyme therapy medication has surfaced, that could potentially cease the disease from progressing. It is speculated that this procedure could improve or repair lost physical and mental abilities. The procedure requires a brain surgery to administer medication, which is only available in the US and Europe.

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Ohio has been approved to perform this surgery and treatment, and Neil currently qualifies for this procedure. The Brochu family faces a great deal of upcoming expenses in starting and continuing the process; this adds to the family's already stressed budget. Following the surgery Neil will also be required, for life, to make biweekly visits to the hospital in order to receive treatments.
