The only Johnny Cash Tribute Artist in the world to be invited by John Carter Cash to record the album “Classic Johnny Cash” -The Nashville Connection- at Cash Cabin, Johnny Cash’s private recording studio in Nashville Tennessee. On this recording you will find Paul amidst the musical talents the Father of the Drums for 35 yrs WS “Fluke” Holland, Johnny’s last Stand up Bass player, Five time Grammy Award Winner Dave Roe, Marty Stuart’s lead guitarist Cousin Kenny Vaughn, Professor Chris Scruggs( grandson to Earl Scruggs of Nashville) and Chuck Turner, Cash Cabin’s Grammy Award Winning Producer and Engineer.
Paul Anthony’s connection with the great talents of Johnny’s players and the beautiful friendships with the Cash family and friends far exceeded the expectations of Paul Anthony.
Paul not only has the vocal sound of The Man in Black but has brought out heartfelt memories for his audience members all over the country.

Paul was invited to the Story Tellers Museum in Bon Aqua, Tennessee where Johnny Cash himself last performed. The building was found in very dilapidated conditions after many years of stillness and was restored and now stands beautifully. Invited by Mark Cash, Johnny Cash’s nephew( Tommy Cash’s son) to perform at the official grand opening. Just down the street from the museum , about a mile, you will find Johnny Cash’s farm house , and it is there on September 11th 2016, Paul recorded an acoustic version of “HURT” in the living room of Johnny’s farm house in the same chair Johnny Cash was sitting in when he recorded that very song.
Many hearts and lives have been touched with great impact from Paul Anthony’s amazingly talented and witty performances. All of Paul’s efforts have not gone unnoticed as he has received awards and nominations for his true authenticity that he brings to his audiences. Global Spectrum awarded Paul with the prestigious Hammer Award making him the fifth recipient amongst the following entertainers, Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, James Taylor and the Canadian Rock band Rush. Paul Anthony has performed on the stage of “Tootsies” the World’s famous Honky Tonk where many of the Great Country Artists of yesteryears and today perform.
Paul was also awarded with the honour of Tribute Artist of the Year in 2018, by the Josie Music Awards in Nashville.
2019 Paul was asked to recreate the amazing Folsom Prison Concert that took place at Folsom Prison January 12 1968. The Recreation was held at The Historic Gaol Prison in Goderich Ontario Canada. This event was a fundraiser for the now Prison Museum built in 1842.
The most important recognition for Paul Anthony though is keeping the music alive along with all of Jonny Cash’s musical history, for his family, as Johnny Cash their son, brother, husband and most importantly their father.
Paul Anthony continues to make musical history as the only Tribute Artist with the most authentic sounds of the Man in Black , Johnny Cash.
