Until further notice, ALZHEIMER SOCIETY OF DURHAM REGION will begin to
modifyservice delivery and community outreach to support system-wide
efforts to slow the transmission of COVID-19 in the community. As we
serve a population at high risk, we believe proactive measures will
aid the health system in ensuring a robust response and best serve our
collective interests. These measures will be re-assessed on an
on-going basis, with regular updates provided on our website and
through team check-ins.

_A WORKSHOP FOR CARE PARTNERS OF PERSONS WITH DEMENTIA_
This full-day workshop offers participants an opportunity to enhance
their knowledge of:
1. Alzheimer's disease and other dementias-an overview. 2.
Understanding communication and behaviour change and 3. Managing
caregiver stress positively.
SATURDAY, APRIL 4, 2020 FROM 10 AM TO 4 PM.
Cost: $10 per person donation requested to help offset cost for
materials, refreshments and lunch. Payable on the day of the workshop
(not eligible for tax receipt).

FAQS
ARE THERE REQUIREMENTS TO ATTEND THE EVENT?
This workshop is intended only for care partners (i.e., family members
or friends) of a person diagnosed with dementia. Multiple family
members are encouraged, however registration is required for each
person.
WHAT ARE MY TRANSPORT/PARKING OPTIONS GETTING TO THE EVENT?
There is plenty of parking at 1600 Stellar Drive. Whitby. This is the
northeast corner of Thickson and Stellar Dr, with entry door beside
Pita Deli.
WHAT CAN I BRING INTO THE EVENT?
Please dress comfortably. It is recommended that you bring a pen,
paper, and water bottle. Refreshments are included.

Thanks, I have updated Kim from Durham College and am updating the
Next steps on April 4th on Eventbrite. I will wait till Monday to make
any phone calls but have ended the sales.
I asked Adriano about students, he said we will follow the
institutions policy if they cancel classes on when to cancel
placement.
