Give your child the best summer ever here at GTA Photography Camps! We offer a unique and interactive experience through our DAILY FIELD TRIPS, hands-on photography activities, and more. From throwing water balloons to practice freezing motion by controlling shutter speeds to painting with light in a dark room by using long exposure techniques, we make photography fun!
Our instructors are all professional photographers who have won various awards and published all around the world. You may have also seen our instructors on CBC Kids’ photography-themed reality TV Series, Snapshots!

Sessions: 1 Session Every Week Between June 22 – August 28
Our Kids Camp is a unique program like no other in the country! It introduces campers to their cameras and the fun things they can do with them. Hands-on photography and field trips come together to give campers a unique learning environment where they get to explore both the creative and technical side of image-making.

Kids Camp 2 allows campers to go on a creative journey through learning special effect techniques & interactive projects!
Sessions: July 6-10, July 20-24, August 4-7
Nature is all around us! Through this camp, kids will get a chance to interact with animals, exotic gardens and breathtaking landscapes through photography. Campers will get a chance to learn new techniques and explore new photography styles.
Sessions: July 6-10, August 10-14
Get creative with photo editing applications, including Lightroom CC for iPads! Campers will learn the essential photo enhancement techniques necessary to transform ordinary photographs into something extraordinary!
Sessions: July 27-31
Bring your imagination to life in Explore Stop Motion! Through interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities, campers will work together to create short animations with a variety of subjects, including lego people, cartoons and each other!
Sessions: Every Weekday between June 22 – August 28
Campers learn to shoot in full manual mode so that they can artistically and confidently capture the world around them. Daily field trips to some of the greatest landmarks in Toronto like St. Lawrence Market, Distillery District, and Nathan Phillips Square, encourage campers to practice the skills, and techniques they learn! Creative photo activities allow campers to have fun expanding their imaginations and a hands-on studio session gives them a taste of what a professional photoshoot looks like.

The focus for Teen Camp 2 is to take campers skills to the next level of ultimate creativity by focusing on experimental photography techniques. Painting with light, projection art and bokeh are just some of the techniques explored!

Looking to pursue post-secondary education in the arts? Through this program, our campers will learn more advanced techniques, be exposed to more professional photography settings and build their own online portfolio by developing their own website.
Sessions: June 29-July 3, August 4-7, August 17-21
This camp will teach teens important techniques so they can effectively communicate the moments and stories they see unfolding in front of them. Through this introduction to photojournalism, campers will have the opportunity to visit a number of locations, including a few National Historic Sites of Canada, to capture newsworthy images.

Editing can make your image go from great to “WOW”! Editing camp introduces teens to Lightroom and Photoshop by covering all the key tools, and creative adjustments in each program. Campers will have a chance to shoot and edit their own photos to explore layering techniques, special effects and more!

Create artistic images using digital and film cameras! In this program, students will discover photography as a tool for creative expression and visit contemporary art galleries for inspiration!
Sessions: July 20-24, August 10-14
Students will learn how to capture amazing footage using DSLR cameras! Through guided demonstrations, students will gain practical experience shooting short video clips and will learn how to use Adobe Premiere Pro to produce their own video project! In just one week, students will develop the essential skill set necessary for creating high-quality videos with confidence!

Join us for an unforgettable, partial overnight experience as we venture to Algonquin Park to indulge in nature and landscape photography! At night, we’ll explore night sky photography and settle down by the campfire! Guided by our senior instructor, Jake Borchenko, and a professional wilderness adventure guide, we’ll explore the wonders of nature and landscape photography in a meaningful and memorable way.

Join us on an unforgettable, partial overnight experience to Algonquin Park, where we will explore and photograph the wonders of nature! This program will help you build your leadership skills in your everyday life and can be applied to any part of your life!

Experience what it takes to become a camp counselor! In this 2 week, immersive program, Counsellors in Training will be mentored by our CIT Lead, who will coach them through a variety of leadership exercises and placements.
