Classic Battletech - Operation BULLDOG

Come join us at Hobbiesville for a casual BATTLETECH MEET UP (and play some pickup BATTLETECH GAMES)or JOIN THE SLDF and participate in OPERATION BULLDOG: Build an Inner Sphere lance (4 mechs), circa Clan Invasion, of 8000BV and join the SLDF in removing Clan Smoke Jaguar’s presence from the Inner Sphere. (Some prebuilt Clan Smoke Jaguar forces will be available for use depending on player count). WHERE: Hobbiesville (2nd floor), 9 Ossington Ave, Toronto WHEN: Sunday June 1st starting at noon till 6pm Operation BULLDOG – Second Wave Luzerne May 3059 Operation BULLDOG was the military codename for the phase of the Star League offensive against Clan Smoke Jaguar in 3059 that was aimed at liberating that Clan's Occupation Zone in the Inner Sphere. Led by Precentor Martial Anastasius Focht and Archon-Prince Victor Steiner-Davion, the assault succeeded beyond their most optimistic hopes, thanks in large part to a lack of preparedness on the part of Clan Smoke Jaguar and no help from their fellow Clans. The operation's forces went under the flag of the new Star League Defense Force. Operation BULLDOG started with two waves in May 3059, which were impressively successful in reaching their objectives. This momentum was briefly hindered by a Smoke Jaguar counterattack, which was largely unsuccessful. The SLDF forces regrouped and pushed twice more in waves three and four, which succeeded in securing yet more planets for the Inner Sphere Luzerne was invaded in the second and third waves of Operation BULLDOG by the Third Davion Guards RCT, ComStar's 208th Division, and Ryuken-roku. The defending Fourth Provisional Garrison Cluster, Sixth Striker Cluster, and Kappa Galaxy Command Trinary held out for some time before finally caving to Star League Defense Force troops. Suggested Force Selection Criteria based of Master Unit List: • force must be 8,000BV or less • Clan Invasion Era • Inner Sphere tech only • force must be 4 mechs (no more and no less) • no duplicate units in force • maximum of one (1) assault mech (all other mech must be lighter then 80 tons) • skill difference can not be more then 2 Mission details will follow (there will be mission specific Victory Points).
