Thursday Math Explorers Grade 3 to 4 - Toronto, ON 2025

Our Grade 3-4 after-school math program enhances foundational skills while fostering critical thinking and collaboration through engaging, hands-on activities. Each session begins with an interactive lesson where students build essential skills, followed by a group challenge, or game, to ignite curiosity. The program wraps up with discussions that link math concepts to practical, real-world scenarios. Students strengthen addition and subtraction, solve problems with up to 4-digit numbers, and word problems. They deepen their understanding of multiplication, division, and place value, explore rounding to the nearest integer or decimal place, and tackle geometry challenges like identifying/classifying shapes. The program comes to an end with a fun group culminating where students will be placed in groups to create different unique bingo games for each unit! Designed and overseen by Alex Zelenovic; an experienced tutor who has taught math worldwide (IB, Ontario, etc.), averaged 99% in high school math, won awards, and is fluent in French and English. The program is taught either by Alex or a team of highly trained staff, ensuring expert guidance and a fun, collaborative learning experience. The course syllabus is approved by certified Ontario teachers!
