Are you a developer interested in Polkadot? Join us for our first hybrid meetup on 31 August 2021,[masked], at SUPSI campus in Lugano and remote!
Participate in the discussion, share your ideas, and find like minded peers.
This meetup is split in 3 parts, we’ll start with a “behind the Polkadot scene” introduction, setting the tone for the following breakout sessions, after which we’ll come together again to share the findings.
Apply to host a breakout session: you can submit your challenges or ideas and become the host of one of the breakout sessions - and have other devs help you drive your project forward. In the third part, you will share your findings with all attendees - and those who join us at Trust Square, enjoy some drinks!
Polkadot is a next-generation, sharded, multi-chain network founded by Dr. Gavin Wood, cofounder and former chief technology officer of Ethereum and creator of the Solidity programming language. Polkadot is a metaprotocol solving many challenges that has hindered the growth of legacy blockchains, including scalability, governance, security, and interoperability. Polkadot is a project fostered by the Web3 Foundation and built by industry-leading developers like Parity Technologies. Applications from decentralized finance and energy to gaming and communications will thrive on Polkadot, challenging the centralized platforms of the current web.
About Ticino Blockchain Technologies Association:
The association acts as an aggregator of all new and existing initiatives within a unique innovation cluster based in Ticino / Switzerland, fostering the advancement of economic progress: more competitive products for companies, more prosperous careers for individuals and growth of swiss education system.
The association promotes and facilitates innovation and research, merging public and private sectors, with the aim of promoting awareness and development of all technologies related to blockchain and decentralized applications (DLT).
The ecosystem links two main drivers of innovation: universities and research centers on the one hand, and private companies, which transform scientific knowledge into economic wealth, on the other. What will take place in Ticino is therefore a complex process of economic enhancement of education and scientific and technological research, which flows from universities and Research Institutes, which is then distributed (employees and research results) over the territory, while offering enterprises the ability to capitalize on the results of the research by showcasing and deploying marketable products.
