HALF HACKATHON

GRATISDESCRIPTION SOLVE SOME REAL PROBLEMS FOR TOURIST COMING TO VISIT COLOMBIA. Hosted by Bogota Dev. We are scheduling a half hackathon (SCRAMBLE EDITION) with our students. We are so excited to be hosting this mini hackathon. HACKATHON IS FREE! Winning team will receive PRIZES! (more details to come soon...) All participants must email nico@bogotadev.com in order to finish registering for the event since we will be putting together all the teams.  The topic of our hackathon will be TOURISM IN COLOMBIA!We have a lot of experience with people for the US, Australia, Canada, China and Chile coming to visit or coming to Bogota to take a coding bootcamp! You (the hacker) are challenged to solve some of the issues that all the tourist face when visiting Colombia. The following are examples of issues tourist {can} have while visiting Colombia: 1. How to get data on my phone? 2. How to get around, what apps should I download? 3. How to order lunch? Where's the menu!? 4. How do I get to and from the airport safely? 5. Ways to meet tour guides. 6. Ways to communicate even though I don't speak spanish. 7. Affordable places to stay while I'm traveling around Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena, etc. SCHEDULE: 9:00- 11:00 am - We are mingling and going over the rules! 11:00- 1:30 pm - Start planning and preparing your code. 1:30- 2:30 pm - Lunch Break (not mandatory) 2:30-9:15 pm: CODE 9:20- 10:20 pm- Code presentations. 3 Minutes each presentation. 10:20- 10:40 pm - Judges pick winner. 11:00 pm - We say goodbye! More details about the event will be posted shortly.  FAQS WHAT CAN I BRING INTO THE EVENT? Your computer, pen, paper, and lots of brains.  DO I HAVE TO BRING MY PRINTED TICKET TO THE EVENT? No, but you have to email Nicolle to recieve the google form to finish the registration.
