including maximum number of spots limited to 20 (19+guide) during
Phase 2, social distancing, hydrogel availability, etc.

This is an extended version (4 bridges instead of 2) of the hike we re
doing on Sunday.
We re going along part of the Lozoya river, with pools here and there
along the way to cool off and some pretty views of the rapids through
the granite rocks. The trail also passes the medieval bridges of
Matafrailes and Congosto as well as Puente Canto and Puente Cadenas.
It s a little known area so let s explore it together!
THE HIKE
The route is a loop that passes by 4 bridges, Matafrailes, Congosto,
Canto and Cadenas, all different from each other. If you love history
and art, you can read about them before. The trail runs paralel to the
river Lozoya as it comes to the Pinilla reservoir next to Lozoya town,
where it forms numerous rockpools and a nice swimming area where you
will probably see a few naked butts as it has become one of Madrid s
favouriteskinny dipping spots :) There are a couple nice places to
stop for a snack and for lunch also. In the loop to see the second set
of bridges we ll be getting closer to Canencia York.
So, all in all, a hike to breathe fresh air, cool off in the water and
check out a completely different area!

ATTENTION!! It seems that the Interurbano buses do not let you buy
