JTL TRAINING - PLUMBING APPRENTICESHIP OPEN DAY OXFORD TUESDAY 29TH AUGUST 2019 Time: 4.15pm – 6:15pm Location: Building F5.  WHO IS THE EVENT FOR:  * Anyone interested in starting a plumbing apprenticeship * Parents and guardians of young people who would like to find out more about apprenticeships * Any plumbing applicants looking for employers * Current employers looking for candidates  * Any current existing candidates and employers who are starting with us this year but want to see the site and our facilities JOINING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THURSDAY 29TH AUGUST 2019 PLEASE NOTE: Culham Science Centre is a secure site and if you wish to attend please register for the event using the relevant form so we can arrange security passes for you and any guests you wish to bring.   What we require from you: * Photo ID: this is required for each person attending as we are based at a secure site you will not be able to access site without photo id (driving licence or valid passport are acceptable). * Car registration: If arriving by car having the registration in advance will save time at reception * Any special mobility needs: Please let us know in advance if you have any special mobility needs so that we can make arrangements for you to visit the facilities. * Contact telephone number: Should the visit be cancelled on the day due to poor weather or for another reason.    Please would you also kindly note the following information: On arrival at Culham you will be checked in at the visitor’s reception so please ask all the members of your party to bring photo identification. This really needs to be either a photo driving licence or a passport.      Agenda: Please feel free to come at any point between 4.15pm and 6.15pm (arrival at 4.00 is absolutely fine to save you time at the main entrance) The event will be held in building F5. There will be people present at the gate to help you We will sign you in at the entrance to building F5.  You will then be given tour groups.     The two practical activities will begin at 4.30pm and 5.30pm and are anticipated to last for 30 minutes. You only need to attend one as they are both the same. We have a staff/ tutors/ training officers available on the night to answer any queries you may have.    Opportunity to speak to employers, learners and JTL staff.   We would like to encourage any candidates to log onto our website here [https://applicants.jtltraining.com/ApplicantRegistration.aspx] and register and take an assessments if they can before arrival although not necessary.    Unfortunately, we do have restrictions on children attending the Culham Open Evenings, this is due to health and safety issues. However, children from the age of 14 years and upwards can attend the Open Evening.  The event will last until approximately 18:15, following the tour there will be an opportunity to speak with the different employers. Finally, it would also be very much appreciated if you could let us know if you are no longer able to visit.   One final reminder YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS SITE WITHOUT PHOTO ID (Driving licence or valid passport are acceptable).   We look forward to seeing you on Thursday 29th August 2019.    With best wishes,   Rosina Blake & Nikki Cowan
