UNFORTUNATELY the information I had from the pub before was incorrect.

Sadly they cannot accommodate us due to restrictions and their outside area is closed early for maintenance on Mondays. Sorry for any disappointment.

WALK WILL SET OFF FROM TOP MOSSLEY MARKET PLACE AT 8.15 PROMPT.

21 June is the summer solstice when we enjoy over 16 hours of daylight.

We will take a leisurely walk from Top Mossley to Hartshead Pike via Luzley Rd, the Knott Hill nature reserve, tracks and paths up to Hartshead Pike where we shall wait to watch the sun set (scheduled at 2142), celebrate the longest day and anticipate the rest of summer as the nights will draw in.

After sunset we take follow the minor road back down to start where the celebration can continue at one of the pubs in the market place.
