Romesh’s cynicism has become his trademark, but since being nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2013 Edinburgh Comedy Awards this deadpan humour has become one of Britain’s most respected and popular comics. Final 2010 as well as coming runner up in The Amused Moose Laugh Off 2010. In 2015 Romesh starred in his own show called 'Asian Provocateur' (BBC Three) where he travelled to Sri Lanka to learn about his parents' country. In 2016 the second series 'Mum's American Dream' was commissioned. He has forged a fearsome reputation with a set that combines cutting one liners with an acerbic take on the world around him.
