Duration: 2 hours Start point: Blu Ivy Cafe, Block C, 24 Stoneway Walk, Globe Town, London, E3 5SH (What3Words: ///answer.gasp.formal) End point: The end point is the tow path to Islington Tunnel. (What3Words /// client.mess.unions). When the walk "ends" you'll be taken to Coalbrooke Row Gardens and then along Duncan Street to Upper Street Islington where there are buses and the Angel Islington Tube station for dispersal. The walk, run by Canal & River Trust, will be led by volunteer walk leaders who are full of interesting information about the local area. Why not come along, be outside, meet new people and discover some of the history of the canals and the surrounding areas. Our walks are fun and friendly. The Walk Leader is a qualified historian with a huge amount of knowledge and experience. We'll meet at the Blu Ivy Cafe (Stop D Haverfield Green/Grove Rd on Bus route 8 is the closest to Blu Ivy Cafe) then go to Islington tunnel (and then up from the tow path to Angel Islington for dispersal by tube/bus). They'll be opportunities to stop along the way. Well behaved dogs are welcome to join the walk, but must be kept on the lead at all times. The great thing about walking is that you do not need any fancy equipment. Please just wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket if raining.
