The Birmingham Commonwealth Association invite you to a lively debate on 17th March. Taking place at Birmingham City University come and watch some of the best student debaters in the city from BCU and Aston University take on each other in a competitive but friendly debate whilst they tussle with the implications for some countries who do not activity support all the Commonwealths values. They’ll be some light refreshments from 5:30 with the debates starting at 6:00pm. See you there!

Debate motion:

‘This house believes that countries should be expelled from the commonwealth if they do not actively support commonwealth values, in particular gender equality’.
