A double bill of stand-up comedy goodness in Brum's cosiest comedy club
About this Event
*CHRIS CANTRILL: REWILDING*
Join Chris Cantrill (BBC Radio 4's Icklewick FM) as he works on a new show about community, mushrooms and bloodlust.
Thrice-nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award. As seen on Alma's Not Normal (BBC Two), Avoidance (BBC One) and Don't Hug Me I'm Scared (Channel 4). Chris is a comedian who is kind and respectful; something rare in the Internet age! Shouldn't have said thrice. Regretting that.
*HANNAH PLATT TRIES SOME TENTATIVE NEW MATERIAL*
'Voice of a generation’ (The Skinny) with ‘humour sharp enough to draw blood’ (The Guardian), Hannah Platt presents new material about being a cynical old queer. Platt is ‘an undeniable rising star’ (Fest Mag) of the UK comedy scene. Her debut Fringe show was nominated for 4 awards including NextUp’s Biggest Award in Comedy, and earned her 5 and 4 star reviews from the likes of The Scotsman, DIVA magazine and Chortle. She has appeared on Comedy Central Live, BBC Three and Radio 4, and supported Fern Brady, Ashley Gavin and Lou Sanders amongst others on their UK tours.
