Rick Astley is a singer that needs no introduction. The star of the
world-famous ‘rickroll’ meme, the deep-voiced pop and soul singer
from Lancashire is continuing his comeback from his 1980s heyday. Rick
Astley tickets are on sale now. Astley rose to fame in 1987 with the
single ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’. This smash hit reached No. 1 in
25 countries and won the 1988 Brit Award for Best British Single.
Astley's debut album Whenever You Need Somebody went multi-platinum in
several countries. Even now, it remains Astley’s biggest-selling
album to date. Astley’s next two albums, Hold Me In Your Arms (1988)
and Free (1991) both reached the UK Top Ten. However, his fourth album
failed to chart, leading Astley to decide to retire and focus on
family. After a few tentative comeback albums, Astley unexpectedly
returned to the public consciousness in 2007 when the Internet latched
onto Never Gonna Give You Up once more, reviving public interest in
the singer. Suddenly tickets for Rick Astley shows were back in
demand! Revitalized, Astley eventually released his seventh album 50
in 2016. It soon became his first UK No. 1 album in almost 30 years,
selling over 300,000 copies. Following his revival with 2016’s UK
No. 1 album 50, Astley promoted his eighth album Beautiful Life with a
UK arena tour in autumn 2018. In 2019 he supported Take That on their
Greatest Hits Live tour across the UK and Ireland. In October 2019,
Astley released his new greatest hits album The Best of Me, featuring
new tracks like Every One of Us and re-imagined versions of his
existing songs. Rick Astley will tour the UK in 2020 to promote The
Best Of Me, with the crooner set to hit venues like First Direct
Arena, Birmingham Arena and Royal Albert Hall. Make sure to book soon!
