LOCKS HEATH INDOOR CAR BOOT SALE  MAIN HALL, LOCKSWOOD COMMUNITY CENTRE  LOCKS HEATH SHOPPING VILLAGE HAMPSHIRE SO31 6DX ------------------------- SATURDAY 2ND DECEMBER 2017 INDOOR CARBOOT SALE  HELD EVERY 1ST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH BUYERS VISIT FROM 9.30AM – 12NOON ------------------------- ------------------------- THE INDOOR CAR BOOT SALE This is like a great traditional car boot sale, but we just leave the cars outside! A great event to turn your unwanted items into some extra cash.  As it's indoors you can stay warm and dry in the winter or shaded and cool in the summer. Facilities like clean toilets and refreshments with tables and chairs available.  So Buy & Sell your preloved items in comfort, without worrying about the weather as it's indoors at the lovely friendly Indoor Carboot Sale! We hold these once a month, the first saturday of every month.  Sales get booked up quickly and are well attended with visitors. Lots of fun and a superb source of making some cash or finding some bargains! WHAT CAN YOU SELL? Anything that you would at a normal carboot sale really, just be aware it's inside a hall rather than a muddy field!  You have a space of around six foot wide for your table and enough room to sit behind.  Household items, bric a brac, clothing, antiques, vintage, toys, garden items, unwanted gifts and so much more! Sorry, but we don't allow the selling of alcohol, weapons or counterfeit items.  If you are unsure please get in touch.  If you are a small business thinking of attending please note we only allow one of these at each sale to preserve the integrity of the event.  You must use the 'business space' option when booking.  SELLERS Set up in peace from 8.45am - 9.30am. Park outside, unload, set up your table and space, park your car and sit down ready for the rush with a cuppa!  It's £10 for a six foot space, bring along your own table (must fit into the six foot space). We will also provide you with a chair or two to use on the day for free included in the space fee. If you would prefer to hire a table from us on the day (6 foot sturdy table) then you can at an additional cost of £5 at the time of booking.  If you are planning on selling clothes too, alongside your table, you must be able to fit this within your six foot space safely. (This isnt possible with six foot tables as you end up encroaching onto next doors space) If not, you will need to book an additional space, bring your own hanging rail and please make sure you add this option at £5 as we will then allow more space next to your pitch.   Tickets once purchased are non refundable or transferable. GUIDELINES No doubling of tables within a single pitch.  When setting up please keep the safety of visitors in mind.  Don't overload your table or pile items dangerously. If you think you have too many items to safely display on one table then think about having a double space to accommodate.  One or more of the team will be monitoring the hall and if they feel any stall poses a risk they will advise, to keep the sale safe and as accident free as possible for everyone.  Strictly No packing away before 12.00 noon.   Visitors have paid to see a hall full of items for sale, its unfair when some tables start to remove there items early before the end of the sale.  PARKING The Locks Heath Centre has free parking for up to 3 hours.  As the event runs longer for sellers, we have a special arrangement with the centre management for you to park your cars for longer within the fenced off area (next to the Genises Centre & Bus Stop Lane) after you have unloaded at the hall.  There will be a sign on the fence. USEFUL TIPS & INFORMATION We recommend you bring a nice table cloth and arranging your lovely preloved items so that buyers can see and easily look at them. Not everyone likes to rummage or bend down, so try and display items that attract attention and can be clearly seen.  Make sure you bring plenty of change (lots of £10 & £20 notes used first thing) and plastic bags are always handy for those who purchase a lot!  Be prepared to haggle!  Try to be reasonable with the amount your asking.  If you ask for far too much you will go home with exactly the same amount you arrived with!  There are refreshments available inside the community centre and of course we are right opposite waitrose and other shops including a subway!  Sorry, no dogs other than guide or aid dogs. Cashpoints available opposite the hall, outside waitrose and the newsagents/subway to the left of the hall as leaving..  BUYERS If your a seasoned carbooter you will no doubt know how these work and what your looking for. First time? Warning they are addictive!  You are looking through hundreds, if not thousands of items from household & clothes to vintage and antique!  Arriving early usually gives you the best chance to get to the bargains first. However, being last to leave is also a great way to grab those 'give away prices' as stall holders start to pack up and are hoping for final sales as dont want to take home!  Not all stall holders have carrier bags so it's worth taking a couple of your own. Take a tape measure for clothes and furniture. Take a pen and paper in case you want to note down a sellers phone number.  It also helps to have a decent amount of small change as many sellers quickly run out of change or don't have enough first thing.  Please be courteous to stallholders.  Have some fun and if you have any problems please see the team on the day.
