On 3rd December we will be meeting at the CHARTHAM VILLAGE HALL TO
START THIS WEEK’s adventure.From the hall we will be following the
path of the river stour before heading up on the North Downs Way AONB
(Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), through some great woodland and
a nature reserve. Along this walk there will be some great views of
the Nort Downs.
The route has been designed to limit footfall on roads, most of which
will be through tracks and well-trodden footpaths. However, there is a
short section that will include some road.
Chartham Village Hall has 4 hours free parking, (please note this was
correct at the time of writing and is subject to change).
** Car parking charges are NOT included **
The walk will take approximately 3 hours (around 10 km), will include
a lunch stop (lunch not included and will cost £5 per person.
The walk will leave on time. However, if you are running slightly late
please call us to let us know.
Meeting time – 9:15 for a 09:30 am start
Terrain – The terrain is mixed. We will be walking through
well-trodden footpaths and trails as well as fields as we move on and
off of the North Downs.
Distance – approximately 10 km (6.5 miles)
Walking time – 3 hours walking stopping half way for a lunch break

Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, can be kept under
control and will go on a lead when required such as entering fields of
livestock.
If we can ask everyone to bring with them:
A - Suitable footwear (strong shoes or boots preferably walking boots
no Flip-flops)
B- A waterproof coat (and waterproof trousers?) in case of rain
C - Drinking water and any snacks you may require
D - Personal medication (please make me aware in confidence of any
medical condition you may have that may affect you in the walk no
matter how small)
E- Suitable walking clothing
F- A torch (preferably a head torch)
There might only be 'natural' toilets along the way (a bush).

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU HAVE ANY COVID SYMPTOMS
• We do take pictures on our walks for promotional and training
purposes. If you do not wish to be in included, please let us know on
the day.
• The walk will follow all current covid regulations.
• Please let us know if you are unable to make it so we are not
waiting around for you.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made 4 days prior to the event will be given a credit
note for a future walk that has to be used within 90 days.
