Chester Cathedral is delighted to present, in the only location in the UK outside London, the Travel Photographer of the Year Exhibition.
This is one of the world’s leading photography awards, with tens of thousands of images submitted by photographers in more than 140 countries each year. The exhibition features a superb selection of the winning images from the 2019 awards, showcasing the beauty of this planet, its wildlife and landscapes, peoples and cultures in an inspirational, entertaining and, at times, moving and thought-provoking way.
This exhibition is presented as part of Journeys – join us during 2020 as we explore the many aspects of life’s inner and outer journeys through a series of fun and entertaining, family-friendly, thought provoking events and activities.
In conjunction with the exhibition, we are also running a special workshop, Kick Start Photography on Tuesday 2 June by professional photographer, Chris Coe. Chris founded the International Travel Photographer of the Year awards in 2003 with his partner Karen Coe.
